Alexei Belousov ( Israel )

Alexei Belousov started studying music at the age of seven. His first guitar teacher was Anatoly Filimonov. When Alexei was 16 years old, he began studying classical guitar under Professor Alexander Matyaev at the Music College in his hometown of Samara (former Kuibyshev ) in Russia . There he studied both conducting and performing of classical guitar


Alexei continued studying both fields in 1990 at the Chelyabinsk State Institute of Art and Culture. There he had the privilege of studying under Professor Victor Kozlov – world-renowned guitarist and composer. Soon after arriving in Jerusalem in 1991, Alexei continued his classical guitar studies with Professor Haim Assulin at the Jerusalem Rubin Academy of Music and Dance.
His performing career has led him to participation in different festivals, playing in most renowned concert halls. Appearing as a soloist, giving master – classes, Alexei has performed throughout Israel, Hungary, Germany, Russia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Italy and many other countries, where his concerts are always received with both critical and popular acclaim.

Alexei is awarded by several national and international prizes.
Since 2006 he is artistic director of “Guitar Gems” International Classical Guitar Festival & Competition in Netanya , Israel .

Alexei is the son of prominent Yiddish poet and essayist Alexander Belousov , of blessed memory.


Ernesto Tamayo ( Cuba )

FIRST PRIZE WINNER of the 1995 NGWS in New Milford , Connecticut , Ernesto Tamayo has toured extensively throughout North and South America and Europe . He is one of the most accomplished and sought-after guitarists of his generation. Ernesto is often praised for his brilliant technique, artistry, and his exceptionally warm tone and expressive interpretations on the guitar.

Born in Havana , Cuba , Ernesto began studying the guitar with his father when he was five. He made his television debut at the young age of nine.

In 1995, Sony Music Entertainment and Sony Classical of Mexico enabled Ernesto to come to the United States . He received a full scholarship for advanced studies at The Peabody Conservatory with world reknowned guitarist Manuel Barrueco . In Cuba Ernesto studied with world reknowned composer and guitarist Leo Brouwer and with Antonio Alberto Rodriguez .

Since his arrival in the United States , Ernesto has performed in numerous concert series and with orchestras in the United States and abroad. In September of 1999, he made his Carnegie Hall debut with a sold-out performance . Past engagements at guitar festivals include appearances at the Fourth International Guitar Festival in Cuernavaca , Mexico , the Sixth International Guitar Festival in Long Island , New York , the "Classical Guitarists of the World" concert series in Fullerton , California and the Connecticut Guitar Summer Workshop. Ernesto has also given solo recitals for the classical guitar societies of Baltimore , Miami , Reno , Cheyenne and Northern Colorado , among others.

Ernesto has recorded 5 CDs , 'Ernesto Tamayo Plays Bach' , 'Melodias Cubanas', 'The Cuban Guitarist' , and ' Classical Persuasions' and his N ew CD 'Artistico' .

The Cuban Guitarist album features two world premier recordings , “The Havana Suite” by Cuban guitarist and composer Aldo Rodriguez, and “Five Inspirations” composed by Ernesto himself. The Classical Persuasions album was released in September of 2006 where he features works by Borges, Canonigos, Lauro, Weiss, Sor, Brouwer, Albeniz, and Rodrigo. Ernesto's N ew CD "Artistico " was released on December 2, 2007 and is now available.

On March 3, 2008 Ernesto  started recording his 6th CD with Record Label 'Virgo Productions' compiled of his very own compositions! Stay tuned for the release date!

Ernesto is a recipient of career development grants from the Maryland State Arts Council, the New York Foundation for the Arts, and the Bossak/Heilbron Foundation . He is sponsored by Bacardi Foundation , Del Mar Foundation , La Bella Strings and performs and records with Thomas Humphrey and David Daily guitars .

In 1997 Ernesto was appointed as the Chairman of the guitar department at The Pennsylvania Academy of Music in Lancaster , PA . His students have been recognized as some of the most talented young guitarists and have been accepted into top music schools such as the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore , Maryland .


CHEN XI ( China )

CHEN XI was born in 1991 in Tianjin , China . She began her guitar studies from the age of 6. In 2003, she entered the Middle School attached to the Tianjin Conservatory of Music, under the guidance of Mr. He Qing. She has played as a soloist in several concerts in different cities in China . She was also in the masterclass of several foreign guitarists.
Chen Xi has been awarded the first prize in the following competitions:

Kiratinan Sodprasert ( Thailand )

At the age of ten, Kiratinant started practicing acoustic guitar with his elder brother. Two years later, he practiced classical guitar on his own using foreign textbooks bought from Wilson store which was located in front of the General Post Office. As far as his education is concerned, Kiratinant started his kindergarten at Pattana School and continued his study at Assumption School (Bangrak) where he completed his Mathayom 3 (10th grade). In the middle of his second year at the vocational school, Chang-Silp College , he finally decided to quit his study and turned to classical guitar without doing any courses from then

.
EXPERIENCES AND ACHIEVEMENT

1. Was a guest lecturer for classic guitar at Siam Kolakarn School , Trok-Chan Branch and at the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University .
2. Was a classical guitarist playing for Grand X Band and arranged the songs, "Rak Nai C Major" and "Ruk Aeoy"
3. Was a classical guitar columnist for "THANONDONTRI" for 2 years.
4. Live classical guitar performance in silent movies at Geothe Institute.
5. Participated in a guitar training program for youth in collaboration with Robinson Department Store during April 3-28, 1989.
6. Arranged traditional Thai songs, Lao Pan and Lao Chao Chu in a classical guitar style.
7. Arranged Thai pop songs, Nueong Nai Roi, Rueon Pae, Sear Rang Ruk Krai, Kam Mun San Ya, Dok Mai Hai Kun , Kuen Nueng, Sai Thip in a classical guitar style.
8. Arranged a Chinese song, Kra Bi Rai Theam Than in a classical guitar style
9. Composed songs, Chan Rak, Roi Are Lai, Ying Rak, Kleun Kra Thop Fang, Duang Daow, Duang Chai, Rak Are Thit Than, Fao Koy and Yod Prat Ta Na.
10. Arranged pop songs, Tears in Heaven, Right Here Waiting, It Might Be You, Plaisir d' Amour.
11. Performed the classical piece, Concerto D Major, on the occasion of 250th anniversary celebration of Antonio Vivaldi at Small Theatre, Thai Cultural Art Centre.
12. Composed a classical guitar song, Bonne Nuit Ma Cherie which is one of the selected songs for lessons and exams given by Yamaha Music Foundation.

Nutavut Ratanakarn(Thailand)

An international classical guitarist in Thailand , Nutavut Ratanakarn has been giving concerts, and master classes in Austria , England , Italy , Israel , Japan , Korea , Liechtenstein , Malaysia , Mexico , Russia and Thailand . He given concert , masterclass and jury member of many international guitar festival, including Moisycos International Guitar Festival (Italy),Kasetsart Guitar Festival, Bangkok International Guitar Festival ,Thailand International Guitar Festival, Magnitogorsk Festival( Russia),Guitar Gems International Classical Guitar Festival & Competition(Israel),Malaysia International Guitar Festival(Malaysia)Festival Internacional y Concurso Nacional de Guitarra "Ramon Noble"(Mexico).He is currently the director of Bangkok International Guitar Festival, Thailand International Guitar Festival and president of Bangkok Guitar Society. He was a prize winner in Thailand International Guitar Competition 2003, Thailand Classical Guitar Competition1999 , and Thailand Yamaha Competition 1998 and1999. He has 4 records, "the Art of Spain", "Guitar Recital", "The Rhythm of Love' audio CD, and "Live concert inKorea" DVD Video by Alma Guitar.

He graduated with first-class honor from Kasetsart University majoring in Classical Guitar Performance. He also received diploma from "Ligita"( Liechtenstein ) and "Wien 2004". He participated in master classes with Alvaro Pierri, Eduarado Fernandez, Costas Cotsiolis, Paulo Bellinati, PavelSteidl, Konrad Ragossnig, William Bower, Phillipe Villa, Jorgos Panetsos,Alessio Monti, Jury Clormann, Gareth Koch, Tomas Offermann, and Jozef Zsapka. He began his formal guitar lesson at 17. His principle teachers are Santi Sequerkawe,Tawee Maneecharuthat, Vidhaya Vosbein, Kamol Adshariyasart, and LeonKoudelak.

Paul Cesarczyk (Poland)

Polish born American guitarist Paul Cesarczyk is a versatile artist, equally known for his interpretations of standard as well as avant-garde guitar repertoire. Guitar Review has called his playing “…broad and focused, with an uncommon command and maturity…dynamic and effortless”. Dr. Cesarczyk is a recipient of numerous international awards and honors including the prestigious Andres Segovia Award and the Aaron Copland Award from ASCAP.  He made his Carnegie Hall debut at the age of 17 and has since performed throughout Europe and the US.

Dr. Cesarczyk has recorded and performed alongside some of the most outstanding musical personalities of our time including George Crumb and David Starobin, his longtime mentor. The debut recording of his composition Polish Folk Melodies was featured by Guitar Review Magazine in 2009.

Before his appointment as guitar faculty member at Mahidol University in Thailand, Dr. Cesarczyk taught at New York University and Stony Brook University in New York. He holds a Bachelor and Master's degree from Manhattan School of Music and a Doctor in Musical Arts degree from The State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Thailand Guitar Quartet

Thailand Guitar Quartet was founded in 2000 by the guitar student from the Faculty of Music Silapakorn University, previously known as Silapakorn Guitar Quartet namely Attapol ploi-plaikaew, Chettaphong Uatrakulpoonsook, Chairat Porn-amnuaw and Pongpat Pongpradit. The quartet has been invited twice to perform in International Bangkok New Music Festival (2001)and(2006). Now the group renamed to Thailand Guitar Quartet and will performing the first concert in Bankok International Guitar Festival (2008).
